Three states and two divide crossings in one day
I’d like to say it was a feat of endurance but it’s actually just a freak of geography that allowed us to ride from Montana in to Idaho for 20 miles then back in to Montana before crossing in to Wyoming. We finish the the day camping on the rim of the super-volcano that is Yellowstone National Park.
We have taken a slight detour from the Divide route and joined the Trans-Am route which winds south through Yellowstone for a couple of days before re-joining the route as it enters the Grand Teton National Park.
Yellowstone claims to be the world’s first National Park and not only is it home to bears, bison and moose but they have recently reintroduced wolves to the park.
